ESPERO Discharge valves

Advantages

Espero discharge valves have been used in petrochemical plants, including polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) manufacturing plants, chemical plants, and other plants for many years.

  • Espero discharge valves are called bottom flush valves or tank discharge valves in a manner similar to a tank valve (umbrella valve).
  • Espero discharge valves are installed on the bottom or the side of tanks and reactor vessels and used for the discharge of fluid (viscous fluid, slurry, etc.).
  • At the full closing of the valve, the protrusion of the end of the piston (valve disc) flush with the bottom or the inner periphery of the tank or reactor vessel eliminates the space for accumulating fluid and the unreacted zone in polymerization reaction.
  • At the full opening of the valve, the fluid passage of the valve body has no parts that obstruct the flow, eliminating clogging of the fluid passage.
  • The seal construction of the Espero discharge valve similar to the Espero piston valve seals fluid by contact pressure (pressure acting on contact surfaces of parts) between the cylindrical piston (valve disc) and the valve body and elastic ring packing.
  • When long-term use results in a reduction in contact pressure between the cylindrical piston and the valve body and the ring packing, leading to the occurrence of valve seat leakage, simple tightening of the ring packing can adjust the contact pressure and recover sealing performance, enabling continuous use.
  • Valve maintenance is performed simply by replacing the ring packing.
  • The ring packing can be selected from several types according to the specifications.

Espero flush valves

  • Espero flush valves have been used in polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) manufacturing plants for many years.
  • Espero flush valves are installed on the side of a reactor vessel and mainly used for the discharge of powder (do not seal gas).
  • At the full closing of the valve, the protrusion of the end of the piston (valve disc) flush with the inner periphery of the tank or reactor vessel eliminates the space for accumulating powder and the unreacted zone.
  • At full opening of the valve, the powder passage of the valve body has no parts that obstruct the flow, eliminating clogging of the powder passage.
  • The seal construction of the Espero flush valve differs from the Espero discharge valve seals by the elastic ring packing installed on the piston (valve disc).
  • Valve maintenance is performed simply by replacing the ring packing and is possible even if the valve is installed in piping.
  • The ring packing can be selected from several types according to the specifications.
